S1E6 – Music Interlude: Monday Morning Song

And now for something completely different. This podcast is not the first time I’ve played around with audio. GarageBand was a free music editing software on my computer since high school so I had a long of fun mixing music for myself. This example, Monday Morning Song, is a fairly good example. It even has PIANO.

Like all art I have ever done in the past, I like the bones of this but wince sometimes in the execution. BUT, on this lovely Monday morning, I hope you enjoy this Monday Morning Song (or, you know, whenever you get to listen to it :D)

Monday Morning Song (Transcript)

When I was in high school, the application GarageBand came free on my laptop. This is a audio editing software, and I still use it, and I’m still not great at it, but it allowed me to make music with myself.  So, I would sing, I would layer tracks, I tried very painfully to do a sound accompaniment.

What you are going to hear in the rest of this episode, something a little bit different, is one of those long-lost songs, posted very appropriately on a Monday. Now, I could tell you all the things wrong with this song. I could tell you my personal pet peeves. I could tell you the things that I would change if I went round again. But I am not going to because that’s the kind of self-destructive talk that stops people from posting things. So, I hope you enjoy this Monday morning song posted very appropriately and just barely on a Monday. Thank you.

Monday Morning Song Lyrics

Monday morning sunshine (Sunshine)

Monday morning rain (in the rain)

Monday morning, do what you want to do.

Monday morning came.

Dunno where I’m going, and I really don’t care.

Somewhere where the sun shines in my hair.

Tell me where you’ll be, and I’ll be there.

Cause it’s a Monday morning song.

Monday morning sunshine (sunshine)

Monday morning rain (in the rain)

Monday morning, breakfast at momma’s house

Monday morning, it’s all the same

Monday morning happiness

Monday morning dew

Monday morning ain’t the same

Without you

Monday morning dreaming

Monday morning _

Monday morning see’in

Don’t really know what it’ll show.

Well, I don’t know where I’m going.

And I really don’t care.

Somewhere where the sun shines in my hair.

Tell me where you’ll be.

And I’ll be there.

Cause it’s my Monday morning song.

Mond rain (in the rain)

Monday morning, do what you want to do.

Monday morning came.

Dunno where I’m going, and I really don’t care.

Somewhere where the sun shines in my hair.

Tell me where you’ll be, and I’ll be there.

Cause it’s a Monday morning song.
